When and Where
Livestream Prenatal Yoga is currently on pause!*
If you can’t make one of the classes live, no problem! You will get the recording after the fact and can practice on your own time for the month of April.
All of the links to videos and our Zoom information will be shared via email through a Google Doc. I’ll update the doc as we move through the month with the links to the new recordings as well as any helpful resources that were mentioned during each class/guest speaker chat.

Cost and Registration
The 5 week class series costs $75.
To register, you can Venmo @stretchmarkheart and please include your email address so that I can send you everything you need!
If you need an alternative way to pay, please reach out to me!
If $75 is a hardship, please connect with me! I offer BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, Teacher, First Responder, and Military/Veteran scholarships and would be happy to make this series work for you! I want everyone to prepare for their birth the way that they want to, and I don’t want the cost to be an obstacle.

What do you need for class?
A mat
Two blocks
A blanket or towel
A yoga strap
A bolster/rolled up blankets (for our Restorative class)
Optional: Birth Ball - I will offer up ways to incorporate a birth ball/exercise ball if students would like to learn more about that as well. However, it’s not essential for practice. A chair can be used in its place or nothing at all.

How is Prenatal Yoga different from a typical Vinyasa class?
The prenatal practice I teach is grounding, empowering, and differentiated to meet the needs of the ever changing pregnant body.
I’ll offer cues and modifications that can help as students move through each trimester and experience potential areas of imbalance or discomfort. Whereas one student may benefit from prompting around keeping the head and heart in alignment to aid with nausea, another may find relief from SI joint pain by pressing outwards against a strap with their thighs in chair pose instead of squeezing inner thighs against a block.
All of these prompts will be offered as “take them or leave them” ideas and each student will be encouraged to make the practice their own. I am all about helping you find the right fit and flow for your body.
Along the way, I’ll be sure to offer up breathing cues and mantras that can be helpful to have in your toolbox during pregnancy and birth, as well as movements and asanas that can hopefully help baby move into ideal positioning for birth, protect and support the core and pelvic floor, and keep you as comfortable as possible as you move towards meeting your baby.
Practice will always end with plenty of time for a decadent Savasana and ample time to shift from asana to asana at your pace.
One of the practices during the month will be more of a “Flow and Restore” style with some movement at the beginning to get warm before settling in for some longer supported holds to ease weary muscles and minds.

Anything else you should know?
You are welcome to bring someone with you free of charge for every session. It takes a village to raise a child, and I’d love for you to start building your support network now!
I want this series to meet your needs and to improve with each class, so please don’t hesitate to reach out with feedback and questions. That’s how I become a better teacher, and how I learn to support you and other students better.
I’d really like to be a part of your prenatal journey, and hopefully stay connected with you after you welcome your little one into the world!
